Offer Description The INCLIVA Foundation is a Health Research Institute accredited by the Carlos III Health Institute and as such an Agent of the National Scienceand Technology System. Although, it is part of the public sector of the Generalitat Valenciana, has legal personality of a private nature, and is governed by the private legalsystem and its specific legislation, without prejudice to the rules of public law that are applicable to it.
In accordance with the resolution of the Directorate General for Science and Research, by which grants are awarded for consolidated research groups – AICO 2024 (CIAICO 2023), a position for a Research Technician (T3), Level 1, 17 T (Senior Technician), is hereby announced to carry out the project: “Regulation of frataxin expression through targeted genetic and epigenetic editing and its impact on the development of therapies for Friedreich’s ataxia”, File No. CIAICO/2023/248.
The position is within the Research Group on Neurobiology and Molecular Pathophysiology in Rare Diseases – NeuroFisER, and the Research Group on Cellular and Organic Pathophysiology of Oxidative Stress, under the supervision of Dr. Pilar González.
Job responsibilities Cell culture.
Extraction, purification, and analysis of DNA/RNA/proteins from cells.
Key Requirements 1.1 - Official Master’s Degree (of at least 60 ECTS credits or its equivalent in hours), related to the duties of the position: 10 points
2. Languages 2.1 - Knowledge of the English language: Level (B1: 2 points); (B2: 3 points); (C1: 4 points); (C2: 5 points) (Up to 5 points)
3. Merits related to professional experience and skills related to the job offer
3.1 - Professional experience in the advertised position (up to a maximum of 30 points)
Master’s Thesis (TFM) laboratory experience: 15 points (same area); 5 points (other areas).
Bachelor’s Thesis (TFG) laboratory experience: 15 points (directly related to the advertised position); 5 points (not related to the position but within the area).
3.2 - Advanced level in the use of techniques and/or software related to the tasks to be carried out, 3 points per accredited technique (up to 24 points)
Extraction of nucleic acids and proteins
Western blot
PCR
Cell line culture
Flow cytometry
Knowledge of image processing software (e.g., ImageJ)
Knowledge of statistical software
3.3 - Complementary experience or other types of experience (scientific outreach activities): 0,5 points per event, up to a maximum of 1 point.
3.4 - Conference presentations in the field (2,5 points per presentation, up to a maximum of 10 points).
3.5 - Publications in the field (5 points per publication, up to a maximum of 10 points).
4. Accredited disability certificate (equal to or higher than 33%) (10 points)
5. Being a victim of gender-based violence (10 points)
6. Personal interview (up to 10 points)
Specific Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences or Life Sciences, in accordance with the current study plans (MECES 2, EQF 6)
Possess the physical and mental capabilities and aptitudes necessary for the performance of the corresponding functions or tasks, which will be accredited by the applicant through a responsible statement at the time of applying to the job offer.
Spanish nationality, a work permit, or any other nationality that allows access to employment in the public sector. If the selected person does not have this and is selected, the contract will not be formalized until the corresponding documentation is in order. If this process cannot be completed within the deadline established by the Evaluation Committee, the final candidate cannot be hired; in this case, the position will be left vacant or the next person in order of preference will be hired if such an order has been established in the Resolution.
To be at least 16 years old and not exceed the maximum age for forced retirement or any other age that may be established by law.
Not be subject to any incompatibility that prevents the performance of duties under the General regime with an entity belonging to the public sector. This requirement will be accredited by a responsible statement.
Not be disqualified by a final judgment from performing functions similar to those of the professional category or group to which access is sought. In the case of nationals of other states, not be disqualified or in an equivalent situation in their State that prevents access to public employment.
