PRN Behavioral Health Associate
Glenwood Behavioral Health Hospital
Preferred shift: Anytime 8am-12am (PRN)
Pay: $21-$26 per hour.
Responsibilities
Provide personal care services under clinical or nursing leadership.
Demonstrate a positive, empathetic, professional attitude toward patients.
Resolve complaints and prioritize patient safety.
Perform safety checks and conduct supervision at 15‑minute intervals or per guidelines.
Document timely, accurate clinical information in the patient record.
Maintain a safe, secure, comfortable environment for patients and staff.
Observe patient behaviors and report significant observations to nursing staff.
Assist patients with activities of daily living: toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, meals, snacks, hydration, changing linens.
Obtain vitals, height, weight as assigned and document.
Facilitate patient educational‑rehabilitative groups on social skills, coping, anger management, independent living.
Engage patients in activities encouraging treatment goal achievement.
Complete required documentation and assist with incident paperwork.
Provide or coordinate transportation for patients.
Other Functions
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education / Experience
Bachelor’s degree.
Six months or more experience with the specific population of the facility is preferred.
Licenses / Designations / Certifications
CPR and de‑escalation & restraint certification required (training available upon hire).
First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.
