Responsibilities Performs direct patient care, ensuring personal hygiene and comfort care is delivered to all patients. Assists daily in maintaining orderly, clean and quiet work environment. Observes for and provides age appropriate comfort measures to all patients within the scope of practice. Maintains the confidentiality of patient and departmental information. Consistently uses supplies, materials and equipment in a safe and cost-effective manner. Maintains infection prevention and hand hygiene practices at all times. Obtains vital signs and lab specimens as directed, reporting abnormal findings to the licensed nurse. Coordinates unit duties, including managing sharp containers, pharmaceutical waste containers, blood glucose monitoring machines, and isolation carts. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Grad or Equ (Required)
Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) - RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement
Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) - EV Accredited Issuing Body
