Senior Aerospace Repair Technician

Salary Range: $38.46/hour to $55.28/hour

Responsibilities

Perform advanced inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of aerospace components, assemblies, and systems in accordance with FAA, EASA, and OEM standards.

Lead complex repair tasks involving mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and structural systems.

Interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives with expert accuracy.

Conduct root‑cause analysis on component failures and collaborate with engineering teams to drive corrective actions.

Operate precision tools, test equipment, calibration devices, and specialized machinery.

Document all work performed in accordance with regulatory requirements and company procedures.

Mentor and guide junior technicians, offering technical training and skill development.

Ensure all repairs meet safety, quality, and compliance expectations.

Support continuous improvement projects and recommend process enhancements.

Communicate repair status, timelines, and issues to supervisors and cross‑functional team.

Qualifications

10+ years of aerospace maintenance, repair, or overhaul experience , preferably in an MRO or manufacturing environment required.

Prior experience in a senior or lead technician role preferred.

Military aviation maintenance background preferred.

Extensive hands‑on expertise with complex components (e.g., actuators, landing gear, control surfaces, avionics enclosures, engine subcomponents—adjust as needed) required.

Strong understanding of FAA Part 145 requirements or equivalent regulatory frameworks.

Proficiency with precision tools, testing instruments, and calibration processes.

Ability to read and interpret engineering documents with exceptional accuracy.

Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and mentor technical teams.

Strong problem‑solving skills and a commitment to quality and safety.

High attention to detail and ability to work under minimal supervision.

A&P License or equivalent certification preferred.

Experience working with OEM‑approved repair data preferred.

Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
