About the Position As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high‑quality patient care throughout the perioperative process. You will prepare the operating room, manage surgical equipment, and collaborate with the surgical team to maintain a safe, sterile, and efficient environment.

Required Qualifications

One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN

Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations

Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Preferred Qualifications

ACLS, PALS, or ENPC certifications

OR Nursing Certification (CNOR)

Other relevant certifications and licenses

Summary of Responsibilities

Prepare the operating room, ensuring all instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies are ready and functional.

Assist in positioning and preparing patients for surgery, addressing concerns and ensuring comfort and safety.

Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures and adhere to infection control protocols and sterile technique.

Anticipate the needs of the surgical team, providing instruments, supplies, and support promptly.

Monitor the patient's condition during surgery, documenting significant changes and notifying the surgeon.

Handle surgical instruments and supplies, ensuring proper use, sterilization, and disposal.

Manage specimen collection, labeling, and transport according to protocol.

Document all aspects of patient care accurately and thoroughly.

Participate in patient handoff communication during pre‑ and post‑operative phases.

Assist in cleaning and restocking the operating room between cases.

Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure compliance with facility policies and standards.

Follow hospital safety rules, including proper use of PPE and infection prevention measures.

Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
