SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST
Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist– Speech Therapy
Rate: Up to $2700.00 weekly
Location: Utica, NY
Day Shift (8H)
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Experience
One (1) to t (3) years of experience as speech therapist treating pediatrics; medical based pediatric feeding & swallowing must be from within last 6 months.
Will consider one (1) year if strong in exact specialty.
Must have Feeding & Swallowing experience (and notated on work experience)
Acute Care experience
Experienced in SLP to assist in the hospital setting, including inpatient and outpatient MBS procedures.
Licenses/Certifications
Current certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) in the state of employment.
CCC in SLP from ASHA certification.
AHA BLS certification required.
State licensure to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of employment.
Must have NY Speech Language Pathology license (active & in good standing) CCC (ASHA certificate of clinical competence).
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders.
SLP will be expected to cover acute/rehab/OP as scheduled.
Develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
Implement therapeutic strategies to address speech and language difficulties
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Educate patients and their families about communication disorders and therapies.
Maintain detailed records of patient evaluations and treatment outcomes.
Provide counseling and support for patients with communication disorders.
Supervise and mentor speech-language pathology assistants or interns.
