Location & Compensation Location: Lutherville-Timonium, MD Salary: $40.00–$47.00 per hour
What You’ll Do
Conduct group therapy, psychoeducation, and process groups designed to meet each client’s challenges and needs.
Assist clients in developing healthy coping skills, positive behaviors, and recovery tools.
Collaborate consistently with clinical staff to keep track of client challenges and progress.
Escalate any significant client concerns to Clinical Director.
Maintain thorough documentation of all group sessions conducted.
Ensure all clinical assessments and individual client charting is completed.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, or related field preferred.
One year of experience in the treatment industry preferred.
Valid licensure necessary to practice as a clinician in this state—ADT required.
If in recovery, a minimum one‑year period of sustained sobriety is required.
Excellent interpersonal, observational, and communication skills.
Strong presence and sound judgment.
Warm, dignified, and honest character that inspires trust and models recovery principles.
Where You’ll Work Avenues Recovery Center at Prince Frederick is a 93‑bed residential facility that offers drug and alcohol detox and inpatient rehabilitation services. Newly remodeled, fresh and inviting, our expansive building brings all services under one roof and gives clients a five‑star experience as they begin their recovery. Our unparalleled medical and clinical team are on call 24/7 to respond to every need and consistently provide care in the most dignified and compassionate manner possible. The atmosphere, created by staff and clients alike, is one of acceptance, hope, and healing, and contributes greatly to each client’s recovery.
