unit deliver high-quality, compassionate care to a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery and those managing orthopedic injuries or neurological conditions.

What Makes This Role Unique

This unit utilizes an innovative

Together Team Model , which includes a

Virtual Nurse

as part of the care team. The Virtual RN brings a minimum of seven years of experience and provides essential support to bedside staff, assisting with:

Admissions and discharges

Patient education

Purposeful rounding

Enhancing team communication

This collaborative approach ensures seamless, high-quality care for every patient while supporting staff efficiency and satisfaction.

What You Will Do

Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical and surgical needs.

Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Monitor patient progress, administer medications, and perform treatments in accordance with hospital protocols.

Educate patients and families on post-operative care, rehabilitation, and recovery processes.

Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Minimum Qualifications: Required:

Graduation from an accredited nursing school

Valid RN License in Connecticut

Preferred:

Bachelor's degree in Nursing

One or more years of experience in medical-surgical or ortho/neuro care within an acute inpatient setting

BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)

Full Time 36 hours/week – Day Shift

Rotation:

Every

3rd

weekend and every other holiday
