Co-Response Crisis Clinician
Full-time, on-site position at Center for Human Development (CHD) in Chicopee, MA. 2nd Shift, with opportunity for first shift based on departmental schedule. Job Overview
Join the CHD Mobile Crisis Team and provide rapid, evidence-based support to local police departments during behavioral health calls. Work closely with the Adult Mobile Crisis Intervention (AMCI) and Youth Mobile Crisis Intervention (YMCI) teams, as well as CHD’s CBHC Outpatient Clinic and Crisis Stabilization Programs. Responsibilities
Conduct crisis triage, evaluations, and disposition recommendations during visits to police departments. Provide stabilization planning, referral planning, and follow-up interventions for individuals in crisis. Assess needs, determine least restrictive level of care, and arrange treatment transition and engagement. Collaborate with police department staff, team-build, and maintain therapeutic presence in the field. Manage case documentation in the electronic health record system. Qualifications & Requirements
Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or related field. Valid LCSW, LICSW, or LMHC license in Massachusetts. Experience in individual, family, and group therapy, crisis intervention, and substance use treatment. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; bilingual candidates receive a differential pay. Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check. Success Factors
Enthusiastic, passionate about community crisis work. Self‑directed, quick learner, and strong written communication skills. Proficiency in electronic health record management and evidence-based practice. Benefits
