Hospital Wide Depts. Under general supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer, Associate Chief Nursing Officer, and the Nurse Manager, the Registered Nurse uses the nursing process to safely coordinate total patient care and education for patients as they are admitted and discharged from the facility. The nurse will rotate between weekends and holidays according to facility needs and will function independently in ICU, CVSU, ED, medical‑surgical floors, and telemetry floors. The nurse is expected to work within the scope of approved policies, procedures, and regulations for the department and organization. The role includes documenting total care, reviewing and maintaining patient charts per policy, and assisting with accurate and timely entry of patient data, orders, and charges into the computer system.
Requirements:
Pass a pharmacology test.
Maintain all certifications and licensure requirements on time.
Attend yearly mandatory education and Healthstream requirements.
Mandatory scheduling and teamwork collaboration with the CNO, ACNO, Nurse Manager, physicians, administrators, peers, home health, outpatient clinics, and other ancillary departments.
