Overview
The Snyder Lab in the Department of Genetics at Stanford University is seeking an experienced Clinical Research Coordinator Associate to perform duties related to the coordination of clinical studies. The role involves coordinating moderately complex aspects of multiple observational human‑subject studies in personalized health. It is a hybrid remote/on campus position under the close direction of the principal investigator and/or Clinical Research Coordinator 2. Responsibilities
Serve as primary contact with research participants, sponsors, and regulatory agencies; coordinate studies from startup through close‑out. Determine eligibility of, gather consent from participants, and assist in developing recruitment strategies per protocol. Coordinate collection and processing of study specimens. Collect and manage patient and laboratory data; maintain project databases, develop flow sheets, and complete study documents/case report forms. Ensure compliance with research protocols, review and audit case report forms for accuracy with source documents, prepare regulatory submissions, and ensure IRB renewals are completed. Assemble study kits, monitor scheduling and charges, coordinate documents, and attend monitoring meetings, acting as primary contact. Monitor expenditures and adherence to study budgets; resolve billing issues with finance and management staff. Interact with the principal investigator, ensuring patient safety and proper study conduct. Ensure essential documentation and recording of patient and research data in appropriate files per institutional and regulatory requirements. Participate in monitoring visits and regulatory audits. Perform other duties as assigned. Desired Qualifications
BA/BS degree in a science‑related field. Excellent phone and in‑person communication skills. General understanding of scientific theory and methods. Experience with Redcap and EPIC. Ability to work under deadlines with general guidance. Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to complete detailed work accurately. Previous experience as a research coordinator and IRB study submission. Education and Experience (required)
Two‑year college degree and two years of related work experience, or a bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (required)
Strong interpersonal skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Knowledge of medical terminology. Certifications & Licenses
Society of Clinical Research Associates or Association of Clinical Research Professionals certification is preferred. Physical Requirements
Frequently stand, walk, twist, bend, stoop, squat and use fine light/fine grasping. Occasionally sit, reach above shoulders, perform desk‑based computer tasks, use a telephone and write by hand, lift, carry, push, and pull objects up to 40 lb. Rarely kneel, crawl, climb ladders, grasp forcefully, sort and file paperwork or parts, rarely lift, carry, push, and pull objects that weigh 40 lb or more. Working Conditions
Occasional evening and weekend hours. Compensation and Benefits
Pay range: $31.84 to $37.79 per hour. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as scope and responsibilities, qualifications, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographical location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
