**What to Expect:**As a **Mechanical Technician I**, assembling our world-class machines, you can expect to safely assemble a quality product with a name known across the world. Put your mechanical aptitude and personal and/or professional experience into building the next generation of heavy paving equipment**.*** 2 years' experience in a mechanic or assembly field, heavy equipment assembly, or technical school with a focus in a mechanical or manufacturing field.* **Relevant experiences such as mechanical aptitude in a personal or professional setting must be described in application*** Intermediate or greater proficiency using electronic and digital devices and mediums* Experience using mechanical tools including torque tools and operation of crane equipment* Understanding of metric units, hydraulics and electrical components* Good communication skillsHeavy assembly, manufacturing or Caterpillar manufacturing experience.
As a **Mechanical Technician** team member, you will support facility initiatives and daily tasks focused on people, safety, quality, velocity and cost. As a team member, you will be responsible for safely assembling heavy paving products according to model pictures and build instructions utilizing mechanical tools, torque tools, metric units, hydraulics and electrical components within allotted process time.
You will work with team members on identifying, electronically documenting and communicating opportunities for improvement, communicating discrepancies, and recommending solutions. Work with limited supervision.
