Personal Care Specialist (Part Time) Green Thumb Industries (GTI)

The Role RISE Personal Care Specialists engage in one‑on‑one interactions with patients and/or customers from the time they enter the retail area until they check out and exit the store. Our ideal candidate is friendly, upbeat, and knowledgeable about the menu, ready to recommend the right product and method of consumption for each patient and/or customer.

Responsibilities

Engage with and assist patients and/or customers in a customer‑facing, intimate retail environment.

Educate patients and/or customers on products, methods of consumption, and safety as part of patient interaction.

Utilize product and consumption‑method knowledge to recommend a safe and effective regimen suited to each patient’s and/or customer’s needs, maintaining up‑to‑date product knowledge.

Promote a positive, communicative, patient‑oriented work environment.

Assist in verifying order deliveries for accuracy.

Provide necessary support to the management team to ensure store operations run smoothly, properly, and in compliance with rules, regulations, and daily activities.

Ensure local and state cannabis regulations are properly enforced and upheld.

Maintain sales floor stocking, presentation, and cleanliness.

Maintain hard‑copy files as required.

Follow security measures and safety compliance procedures.

Additional Duties

Front of House: Check‑in, sales floor, POS (kiosk, in‑store, pre‑order), curbside, roll‑thru.

Back of House: Fulfillment, receiving, replenishment, inventory counts.

Maintenance: Uphold cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards throughout the dispensary.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

At least one year of customer service experience; preference for specialty, customer‑facing retail experience.

Ability to work a schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as mornings, days, nights, and weekends.

Reliable, responsible, and dependable attendance.

21 years or older.

Pass all required background checks, including state‑specific cannabis employment requirements.

Valid driver’s license or state ID.

Compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry.

Prior cannabis experience not required.

Additional Requirements

Perform tasks for prolonged periods of time up to the duration of a scheduled shift or workday.

Move about the dispensary to fulfill work assignments and assist patients and/or customers in various locations.

Remain in a stationary position, if required.

Converse and communicate directly with individuals and groups.

Operate point of sale system, computer, and other office productivity machinery.

Prepare patient and customer orders by moving and placing products.

Inspect and receive detailed information, such as dates of birth, in‑store or online orders, or inquiries.

Move inventory and materials weighing up to 30 pounds independently.

Move inventory and materials in storage areas.

Skills

Excellent customer service skills.

Desire to continuously learn about cannabis, cannabinoids, the endocannabinoid system, GTI products, and cannabis therapies.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all employees.

Effective verbal and written communication skills for various audiences.

Previous experience with POS systems.

Understanding of applicable cannabis laws and regulations, safety regulations, local municipal codes, and standard operating procedures.

Ability to follow instructions and incorporate constructive criticism from managers.

Professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality, including compliance with HIPAA requirements.

Working Conditions

Patient and/or customer‑facing environment.

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Exposure to cannabis and/or allergens present in the environment.
