The Role RISE Personal Care Specialists engage in one‑on‑one interactions with patients and/or customers from the time they enter the retail area until they check out and exit the store. Our ideal Personal Care Specialist candidate should be friendly and upbeat, much like a barista in your favorite coffee shop. The Personal Care Specialist is a master of our menu and knows exactly how to help anyone who walks through the dispensary’s doors.

Responsibilities

Engage with and assist patients and/or customers in a customer‑facing, intimate retail environment

Play an active part in patients' and/or customers' education on products, methods of consumption, and safety as part of patient interaction

Utilize product and consumption‑method knowledge to recommend a safe and effective regimen suited to each patient and/or customer's needs; remain up to date on product knowledge

Promote a positive, communicative, patient‑ or customer‑oriented work environment

Assist in verifying order deliveries for accuracy

Provide necessary support to the management team to ensure retail store operations run smoothly, in compliance with applicable rules and regulations, including daily activities and maintenance, and report any issues and/or complaints

Ensure local and state cannabis regulations are properly enforced and upheld

Ensure sales floor is properly stocked and the store's presence is well maintained and compliant

Maintain hard copy files as required

Follow security measures and safety compliance procedures

Complete duties at assigned workstations during scheduled shifts, including Front of House (Check‑In, Sales Floor, POS, Curbside, Roll Thru), Back of House (Fulfillment, Receiving, Replenishment, Inventory Counts), Maintenance (cleanliness, safety, presentation standards), and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

At least one year of customer service experience; preference for specialty, customer‑facing retail experience

Meet scheduling and availability requirements (including mornings, days, nights, and weekends)

Reliable, responsible, and dependable attendance

21 years or older

Pass all required background checks, including state‑specific cannabis employment requirements

Possess a valid driver's license or state ID

Be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry

Prior cannabis experience not required

Additional Requirements

Perform tasks for prolonged periods (up to a scheduled shift or workday), including moving around the dispensary, staying stationary if required, conversing with individuals and groups, operating POS, computer, and other office machinery, preparing orders, inspecting and receiving detailed information, moving inventory and materials up to 30 pounds, and positioning self in storage areas

Skills

Excellent customer service skills

Desire to continuously learn about cannabis, cannabinoids, the endocannabinoid system, GTI products, and cannabis therapies

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all employees

Listen well and communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with various audiences

Previous POS experience

Understanding of cannabis laws and regulations, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, and standard operating procedures

Follow instructions and incorporate constructive criticism from managers

Operate professionally and with integrity, including handling confidential information and complying with HIPAA requirements

Working Conditions

Patient- and customer‑facing environment

Ability to work outdoors in varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions

Exposure to cannabis and/or allergens present in the environment
