Job Description Responsible to assist Principal Investigator (PI) with ongoing vision research. Duties include performing in vivo measurements such as electroretinography (ERG), optical coherence tomography (OCT), and fundoscopy to characterize the therapeutic effects of gene delivery in rodents; maintaining mouse colonies; preparing for animal procedures; collecting tissue samples; performing tissue sectioning, histology, Western blotting, and immunostaining procedures; conducting molecular and cellular assays; and analyzing serum and retinal samples derived from animal studies.
Advertised Salary $20.00-$25.00 per hour
Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Science, Biology, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Recent college graduate seeking a solid background in biological sciences to prepare for medical, veterinary or graduate school.
Self-driven, fast learner with strong quantitative skills and experience in both laboratory bench work and data analysis.
Experience with mouse handling and ocular procedures is desired.
