Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Scrub Technician to join our surgical team in Sarasota, FL. The Scrub Technician will assist surgeons and other medical staff during surgical procedures by preparing and maintaining the sterile field, handling instruments, and ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile drapes.
Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies as needed.
Maintain strict aseptic technique and sterile field throughout surgical procedures.
Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after surgery to ensure nothing is left inside the patient.
Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment after procedures.
Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure patient safety and efficient workflow.
Respond promptly to surgeon’s requests and anticipate needs during surgery.
Document surgical procedures and maintain accurate records as required.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a surgical technologist program preferred.
Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is highly desirable.
Previous experience as a Scrub Technician or in a surgical setting preferred.
Knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical instrumentation.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with patient positioning.
Work Environment This position is based in a hospital or surgical center environment in Sarasota, FL. The role requires adherence to strict safety and infection control protocols.
