a Mental Health Professional I

This position is housed at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health, Santee-Wateree Center for Mental Health, 2611 Liberty Hill Road, Camden, SC 29020.
Responsibilities for the Mental Health Professional
Provide direct services to ACT patients guiding them in the development of skills/strategics towards achieveing and maintaining good mental health and facilitating training of independent living skills.
Utilize assertive engagement to engage beneficiaries in service..
Assist patients with access to community services, resources and agencies and establish support networks in the community.
Utilize the patient's natural supports.
Complete screenings and assessments for referrals and assist with development and revisions of instructional continuity plans (ICP).
Provide family psychoeducaton and works with beneficiary's natural supports.
Lead the person centered planning process for patients of the ACT program.
Participate in clinical supervision, treatment team meetings, pursues professional development, and demonstrates effective use of social and interpersonal knowledge and skills and demonstrates an understanding and appreciation of individual and group differences and similarities.
Complete documentation according to QA/SCOMH standards, Complies with Corporate Compliance Policy and Risk Management Plan, and Ensures timely completion of prior authorizations.
Adherence to CARF standards, and SCOMH and Center policies and Procedures.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Licensed as an LMSW, LMFT, or LPC in the state of S.C..
A Master's degree in guidance, counseling, or the social sciences or related field.
One year of experience working with adults with Serious Mental Illness.
Ability to lift 5lbs and operate a state vehicle.
Ability to complete MAPs training.
Requires flexible schedule.
Ability to travel throughout the Santee-Wateree catchment area as directed.
Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
Experience working with adults with Serious Mental Illness.
Practical therapeutic knowledge of principles, methods and counseling practices and procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of behavioral and mental disorders.
Post Hire Obligations
Complete MAPs training.
Complete documentation according to QA/SCOMH standards.
Comply with Corporate Compliance Policy and Risk Management Plan.
Adhere to CARF standards, and SCOMH and Center policies and Procedures.
Travel throughout the Santee-Wateree catchment area as directed.
Position will be part of the Assertive Community Treatment Team. Requires flexible schedule.
