Base pay range: $48.00/hr - $52.00/hr
Responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on individual patient needs. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with nursing standards. Monitor, interpret, and document vital signs, laboratory results, and patient responses to treatment. Perform advanced nursing procedures including IV therapy, wound care, catheter care, and patient monitoring. Recognize changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate nursing and clinical interventions. Documentation
Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive patient medical records. Document nursing assessments, care plans, medications administered, treatments provided, and patient outcomes. Report and document any adverse reactions, incidents, or changes in patient condition per facility protocol. Work collaboratively with physicians, LPNs, CNAs, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care. Communicate effectively with patients and families by providing education, updates, and emotional support. Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and team meetings. Assessment & Care Planning
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments upon admission and throughout care delivery. Develop, implement, and revise individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs and responses. Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary. Patient & Family Education
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions. Promote health maintenance, disease prevention, and self-care techniques. Policies, Compliance & Ethics
Adhere to facility policies, procedures, and nursing standards of practice. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and maintain ethical nursing practice. Safety & Infection Control
Ensure patient safety and maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment. Follow infection prevention and control protocols at all times. Identify and report safety concerns, incidents, or hazards promptly. Supervise and provide guidance to LPNs, CNAs, and support staff as assigned. Act as a patient advocate and resource for the healthcare team. Promote a collaborative, respectful, and professional work environment. Professional Development
Maintain current nursing knowledge, skills, and licensure requirements. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities. Stay informed on best practices, policies, and advancements in healthcare. Requirements
Active Registered Nurse (RN) North Carolina State License BLS Certification (required) Ability to work per diem shifts with flexibility Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
