Physical Therapist PRN
Location: US-CA-Rancho Cordova

As a Physical Therapist, you will perform supervisory duties and evaluations on patients and help them improve basic motor functions and reasoning abilities, compensating for permanent loss of function by teaching them to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments, in accordance with Concentra Medical Centers' Injury Process Management and philosophy of rehabilitation in occupational medicine.
Responsibilities
Ensure delivery of high quality patient care services
Perform direct patient care, including evaluation of muscle, skeletal, neurological and other physical problems
Support and encourage multidisciplinary coordination of treatment
Ensure proper documentation of patient care
Maintain professional standards through compliance with quality assurance policies and procedures, applicable regulations and corporate policies
Implement effective communication with staff, medical personnel and patients to ensure coordinated efforts and high quality service
Demonstrate problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution abilities
Inform Administrator of department problems, needs and solutions in a timely manner
Plan, design, implement and interpret specific physical therapy treatment programs to facilitate recovery and attainment of maximum physical potential
Educate patients in proper use of supports and exercise programs
Perform or delegate patient treatment, including modalities, therapeutic exercises, gait training and hydrotherapy
Follow appropriate documentation and reporting procedures
Secure prescription for each patient treated
Work closely with the physician to ensure comprehensive delivery of services and quality patient care
Assist marketing staff with tours as needed
Protect center assets and property against loss or waste
Participate in professional development, attending meetings and educational seminars
Communicate progress and compliance information with Outcome Assurance Injury Coordinator or Case Manager for each patient
Participate in clinical instruction of occupational therapy students
Assist in evaluation of rehabilitation quality management processes and help improve them
Ensure compliance with licensing, certification and accrediting regulations

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
Master’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program, preferred
Ortho‑outpatient experience, preferred
Ability to make decisions and solve problems using logical thinking
Outstanding customer service skills and professional demeanor
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information per HIPAA and PHI requirements
Willingness to participate in initial and ongoing training as required
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients and providers
Computer proficiency and time management skills
Knowledge of safety hazards and procedures
Skill in developing and maintaining patient records and writing reports
Competency in all required physical therapy tasks and demonstration of skill in orientation and training

This position is eligible to earn a base compensation rate in the state range of $50 to $70 hourly, depending on job‑related factors as permitted by applicable law.
