Job Purpose and Summary We help people navigate the health care system by improving access, lowering costs and being a trusted partner. In our retail locations, Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy teams to deliver operational and service excellence, being often the first point of contact for patients and customers. Technicians ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely and accurately, and deliver caring service that exceeds patient expectations.

Essential Functions

Live our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation.

Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation (production, pick‑up, drive‑thru, drop‑off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.

Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care, including offering immunizations and other services at the register and over the phone.

Complete basic inventory activities such as putting away medication deliveries, cycle counts, returns‑to‑stocks, waiting bin inventories.

Contribute to a high‑performing team, embrace a growth mindset, seek feedback and expand clinical and technical knowledge.

Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, and travel to stores in the market when required.

Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles. Comply with CVS policies for patient safety and controlled substance dispensing.

Deliver additional patient health care services (e.g., immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, and volunteering at off‑site clinics) where allowed by law and supported by required training and certification.

Required Qualifications

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy.

Meet the following criteria: at least 16 years old if no minimum age is mandated; have a high‑school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or equivalency program if no minimum education is mandated.

State‑level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state.

Complete all required company training and satisfy all registration, licensing and certification requirements according to the State’s Board of Pharmacy guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

1‑3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.

Experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.

Ability to work in the home store and across the market to meet business needs.

Anticipated Weekly Hours 10 hours

Time Type Part time

Pay Range Typical Pay Range For This Role Is

$18.50 - $28.50 per hour. The actual base salary will depend on experience, education, geography and other factors.
