Role Overview
Full‑time, 9‑month nursing faculty position at Brightpoint Community College in Chesterfield, VA (Mid‑Senior level, Contract).
Key Responsibilities
Teach the equivalent of 15 credit hours per semester across DNA, LPN, and RN programs.
Engage students in learning and provide clinical supervision.
Develop and revise courses and curriculum and advise students.
Maintain accurate student records.
Participate fully in nursing program development, college activities, and committees; represent the college at community events.
Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned or assist during emergency declarations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (enrolled in Master’s Degree program); Master’s preferred.
Several years of experience in medical, surgical and/or pediatric nursing.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Commonwealth of Virginia nursing license or compact state nursing license.
Successful completion of a criminal background check.
Experience teaching at the college level, use of instructional technology, knowledge of Virginia BON regulation and ACEN accreditation criteria.
