This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Charleston Dorchester Mental Health Center- Dorchester Clinic, 106 Springview Lane, Summerville, SC 29485.
Responsibilities
Provide quality person-centered care as demonstrated by the use of evidence-based clinical interventions.
Provide all forms of direct services as credentialed by the Center in an efficient manner as evidenced by meeting the established productivity expectation.
Provide family Therapy.
Documentation is reflective of the quality care expected of this position.
Demonstrate recognition of importance of collaboration and teamwork within the Center and the community.
Ensure patient functionality is measured according to established standards.
Retain overall responsibility for meeting Quality Assurance standards.
Ensure timely response to request for services.
Comply with all OMH/CDMHC, policies and protocol, applicable QI, Corporate Compliance, Cultural Competency and CARF policies and procedures and Federal and State rules and regulations and attends all trainings classified mandatory by Federal and State regulations and Center policy.
Qualifications
A master’s degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field.
A Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited program, university, or college in psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family counseling or other behavioral discipline deemed equivalent by SCOMH.
Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
Additional Requirements
To be credentialed for core services as a Mental Health Professional at the SC Office of Mental Health, this experience may be documented as a practicum or internship during graduate program, or post-graduate clinical experience. Post-Hire Requirements
Have working knowledge of Mental Health legal principles and practices, of methods, principles and practices of clinical counseling and educational services.
Have considerable knowledge of psychopathology and patient management in psychiatric setting.
Have working knowledge of basic health and welfare services provided by other agencies.
Be able to effectively plan, coordinate and manage complex treatment and to the ability to conduct detailed investigations, draw conclusions and recommend required actions.
