Interventional Radiology Technologist

Indiana University Health . This is a full‑time position (days, rotating) with shifts of 4‑10 hours. Schedule: Monday‑Friday, 7 am – 5:30 pm, with a rotating day off. The role is based at Methodist Hospital. New Hire Bonus is available for eligible candidates. Responsibilities include: Assisting the radiologist/interventionalist during interventional procedures, including acting as scrub tech when appropriate. Adhering to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Following radiation safety protocols and being aware of patient dose alert levels and escalation procedure. Understanding complex procedures, determining appropriate supplies, and setting up a sterile field. Demonstrating advanced knowledge of cross‑sectional and vascular anatomy. Communicating effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team (critical care, ED, Trauma, IP, OP, Nursing, Oncology, Transplant, GI, Neurosurgery, etc.). Documenting necessary information in the EMR. Required qualifications: 0–3 years of relevant experience. Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). Ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the patient’s condition does not permit routine positioning. Knowledge of sterile technique and supplies used during interventional exams. Active status as a Registered Technologist – Radiography, RT(R), through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as a radiologic technologist. Experience as a radiologic technologist is preferred. May be required to obtain advanced credential in interventional radiography, if applicable. Seniority level
