as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Coed Adolescent Behavioral Health Unit. This full‑time evening position (32 hours per week) offers a $10,000 sign‑on bonus for RN candidates with 0–2 years of experience and a $20,000 bonus for those with more than 2 years. Bonus amounts are prorated for part‑time hires; per‑diem hires are ineligible.

Eligible candidates are hired into a full or part‑time RN position. Current MaineHealth employees and former employees who have separated within the past 6 months are ineligible for the bonus.

Description The Spring Harbor Child and Adolescent service is a 34‑bed, 4‑unit unit that provides acute mental health treatment to youth from across Maine. Nurses collaborate as members of an interdisciplinary team to develop and deliver individualized care plans using the nursing process in an acute psychiatric inpatient setting. The multidisciplinary team includes medical providers, occupational therapists, social workers, behavior analysts, and nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities

Implement individualized care plans and provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation.

Manage medication administration and monitor patient response.

Conduct individual and family therapy sessions in collaboration with behavioral health staff.

Coordinate occupational therapy interventions and skill‑based group activities.

Facilitate positive behavioral incentives and supports to promote recovery.

Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to treatment planning.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).

Current applicable state license as a Registered Professional Nurse.

BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of start date.

One year of recent RN experience preferred.
