Direct Support Professional II - Awake Overnight Seven Hills Community Services, an Affiliate of Seven Hills Foundation

Overview This role provides direct support or services with a higher level of skill or experience, contributing to our service recipients' care and support while maintaining quality, service excellence and ethical standards. This role may train or supervise direct support employees and work closely with a multidisciplinary team to implement individualized care plans that align with each person's goals and needs.

Pay: $20.50/hr awake hours (additional $1/hr differential for active MAP certification).

Responsibilities Support Advocates are responsible for the provision of day‑to‑day services to our program participants. This includes assisting and/or teaching individuals at varying levels of personal care such as bathing, toileting, teeth brushing, etc., to ensure they always look and feel their best. They also help with household maintenance, meal preparation, and/or shopping, providing opportunities for individuals to assume increasing control and responsibility over their daily lives. Support Advocates may accompany individuals on appointments. They administer medications (or support self‑medication) in accordance with residential guidelines and follow routines including behavior support plans, personal care, physical therapy, etc. Support Advocates receive a paid 5‑day new employee orientation and training on CPR/First Aid, Safety Care, Defensive Driving, and the Medication Administration Program (MAP), and program‑specific training at the work site.

Required Qualifications

18+ years old.

High school diploma, GED, or HiSET required.

1‑3 years of related experience preferred.

Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

CPR/First Aid and MAP certification required (paid training provided if needed).

Preferred Qualifications

Commitment to assisting people with varying disabilities to participate fully in their community and in their own lives.

Varied interests and personal connections in the local community.

Proven record of conscientious, responsible behavior (work, volunteer or school history).

Ability to work as a creative, engaged, dedicated member of your team.
