RN Staff Nurse (Day/Night) - 6E Trauma

Benefits
Base pay: $31.50 (BSN) / $30.00 (non‑BSN); shift differential $2.00.
Sign‑On Bonus: $20,000 (≥1 yr experience) or $15,000 ( Monthly Loan Repayment: $15,000 over three years for eligible graduates.
Responsibilities
Patient Care : Use protocols to deliver safe care; administer meds and IV therapy.
Assessment & Planning : Evaluate, document needs, reassess every eight hours; coordinate with community agencies.
Team Communication : Engage in interdisciplinary discussions; use Bed Management, Alpha, CPOE.
Education & Leadership : Teach health concepts; guide staff and students; display professionalism.
Safety & Compliance : Follow universal precautions; complete annual competency validation; stay current in point‑of‑care testing.
Qualifications
Current Pennsylvania RN license.
Complete UPMC orientation and probationary period.
CPR and BLS or CPR within 30 days of hire.
Additional certifications within two years: Acute/Critical Care RN (CCRN), Advanced Trauma Care, Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), Certified Flight Nurse, Certified Neuroscience RN, Certified Progressive Care RN, Emergency Pediatric, or Trauma Certified RN.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
NIH Stroke Scale (NIH).
Act 34 compliance.
Multistate license if applicable per NLC agreement.
