Job Summary And Qualifications As a Clinical Dietitian, you will coordinate all phases of nutrition care including assessment, care planning, monitoring, education and counseling of hospitalized patients and outpatients. You will support performance improvement plans and comply with JCAHO, licensing, accreditation and regulatory agencies.
What you will do in this role
Plan and organize patient nutritional care with accountability
Assess patient nutritional needs and develop dietary care plans with counseling
Develop measurable short‑ and long‑term nutritional goals and evaluate outcomes
Calculate accurate nutritional needs based on therapeutic requirements
Document in the medical record timely and accurately in accordance with PCD guidelines
Monitor and inspect meal service conformance to prescribed diets and standards of palatability and appearance
Participate in rounding and proactively respond to patient needs to improve patient outcomes and experience
Contribute to a culture of patient‑centered care by ensuring a quiet healing environment
Qualifications you will need
Bachelor’s Degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences, Human Nutrition or a comparable major
Minimum of 1 year experience as an RD in an acute‑care environment OR completion of a coordinated program or dietetic internship of at least 900 hours under RD supervision
Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN) by the Florida Board of Dietetics and Nutrition and RD by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (registration will be achieved within 90 days of hire if not yet registered)
