Our compassionate team provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including acute care rehabilitation, joint replacement & spinal surgery, neurosurgery, ICU, Telemetry, step-down care, skilled nursing, as well as outpatient therapy, hand and lymphedema clinics. Support and assist the development of the Rehabilitation Program area(s) assigned and for the provision of occupational therapy services. Rehabilitation Services may include physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and recreational therapy to patients on acute units, Acute Rehab, Skilled Nursing Facility, and in Out-Patient Program. Provide services to orthopedic, medical, medical-surgical, and neuro-rehab patients, among others. Provide occupational therapy services to infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients as indicated by qualified therapists. Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and discharge planning for patients treated at Desert Regional Medical Center. Department Specific Duties
Able to follow and implement plan of treatment under supervision of the Occupational Therapist to ensure timely provision of Occupational Therapy services. Responsible for cost efficiency and quality of rehab services. Demonstrate competence through direct observation during assessment, treatment and care of patients, including age-appropriate criteria, growth and development, and range of treatment needed by patients served. Document accurately, clearly, legibly, and timely (including evaluations, progress notes, reports, physician communications, authorization checks, and charges) within the scope of practice. Attend and participate in care plan, daily, weekly and discharge planning meetings and rounds as required on the unit served. Meet productivity standards for the primary cost center. Promote quality patient care by monitoring and implementing change through the Performance Improvement Program. Position Qualifications
Required: Valid California Occupational Therapy Assistant license OR Documentation of eligibility for valid California Occupational Therapy Assistant license Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS (maintain current at all times) Individual wages are determined based upon qualifications and experience Shift: Days. 8-hour or 10-hour shifts Days Off: Varies. Some weekends required. Vaccination: Tenet complies with applicable vaccination laws; if offered, you may need to show proof of vaccination or obtain exemptions with regular testing if exempt.
