Position Summary

Magellan Aerospace, Haverhill is a world‑class manufacturer of precision machined aerospace components. We have an exciting opportunity for 2nd Shift CNC Grinder. The primary responsibility of a 2nd Shift CNC Grinder is to set‑up and operate CNC grinding equipment in a skillful and efficient manner.

Essential Responsibilities

Must be educated and trained to read prints and interpret engineering instructions required to produce parts consistently to close tolerances. Analyze and debug new methods. Perform calculations and use inspection equipment to verify that all quality requirements are met. Understand and follow the safety rules including keeping a neat and clean work area. Diligently perform all duties in a highly productive manner. Check and maintain oil and coolant levels on a daily basis.

Position Requirements

High School Diploma or Vocational School with hands on training at school or in a machine shop. Looking for at least 5 years of machining experience. Ability to perform with in tight tolerances and work within already established parameters. It is desirable to have some training in the use and understanding of metric to imperial inch conversion. Experience with tolerances of +/- .00015 & knowledge of surface finish and methods of inspecting them. The operator should be proficient in indicating. Team Player and good attitude.
