Responsibilities The Nursing Assistant in the Behavioral Health Unit is an unlicensed, non‑certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non‑critical patients, and assists in maintaining a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, preferred.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter.

Knowledge of medical terminology.

Minimum six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $16.30 to $22.07. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, based on factors such as skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
