Innovative Therapy Concepts is inviting applications for a Registered Nurse in our Cardiopulmonary Rehab Department. The role involves caring for adult and geriatric cardiac patients in both acute and outpatient settings, providing rehabilitative care, education, and psychosocial support throughout Phase 1, 2, and 3 rehabilitation.

Overview Our partnership with Northside Gwinnett began in 2013 to deliver therapy services across the system. As a Cardiac Rehab RN, you will provide competent patient care, participate in quality improvement, and serve as a resource and preceptor for nursing personnel. Key qualities include teamwork, excellent communication, multitasking, and flexibility.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate competency in clinical practice and the nursing process.
Provide safe, competent patient care and apply current policies and procedures.
Maintain knowledge of pathophysiologic states common to the unit.
Communicate effectively with peers, providers, and families.
Implement the nursing process independently and utilize evidence‑based practice resources.
Use unit‑specific technology safely and effectively.
Operate computerized information systems and develop personal practice competencies.
Delegate care appropriately.
Precept new staff members and students as needed.
Set personal goals for lifelong learning and professional growth.
Conduct self‑assessment and discuss performance with leadership.
Collaborate with leadership and peers to identify learning needs.
Recognize ethical issues and advocate for patients and families.
Consult with other health‑care providers to ensure continuity of care.
Apply evidence‑based guidelines to guide practice.
Seek out new knowledge and skills to improve performance.
Utilize quality measures and participate in quality improvement activities.
Engage in accreditation readiness activities.

Physical/Mental/Cognitive Requirements
Physical ability to operate machines, carry up to 20 pounds occasionally.
Mental aptitude to learn complex principles, make independent judgments, and follow instructions.
Environmental comfort with minimal hazard exposure.
Interpersonal communication and language proficiency.
Motor coordination, manual dexterity, and visual discrimination.
Ability to handle stressful situations and provide verbal communication.
