Sonographer Full Time Days – CHI
Join the CHI team and utilize advanced sonographic equipment to record detailed images of blood, organs, tissues, and bodily masses, including unborn fetuses, providing critical visual data for diagnosis and prenatal care. Excellent patient service, communication skills, and technical proficiency are essential.
Job Summary and Responsibilities The role includes:
Interact with patients, explain procedures, answer questions, and prepare them for scans.
Operate sonographic equipment, adjust settings and patient positions for clear diagnostic images.
Monitor patient safety and comfort during scans.
Select and examine images for pathologies, present preliminary findings to physicians.
Maintain compliance with departmental quality assurance programs and patient safety goals.
Continuously develop professional skills and technical competency.
Requirements
Graduate from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or related program.
Or graduate of AMA Accredited Sonography Program or accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or related certifications such as Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI), etc.
Basic Life Support – CPR certification.
Where You'll Work Saint Joseph East—a 217‑bed, full‑service community hospital located in Lexington, Kentucky. It includes the Women’s Hospital and a 16‑bed Level III NICU. Saint Joseph East is part of CHI Saint Joseph Health, a non‑profit Catholic health system within CommonSpirit Health.
Pay Range $36.42 – $54.17 per hour.
Sign‑On Bonus $25,000 Sign‑On Bonus and up to $24,000 for Student Loan Forgiveness for eligible hires.
