Franciscan Medical Group, part of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, is seeking a full‑time Echo Technologist for its Franciscan Cardiology Consultants Clinic in Silverdale, WA. The position offers a patient‑centered, fast‑paced environment with a variety of testing modalities and the opportunity to work at the top of the echo‑tech scope of practice. No weekends or organizationally recognized holidays are required.
Essential Duties
Perform sonographic examinations at a technical level that does not require constant supervision.
Apply knowledge of anatomical positioning, physiology, and cross‑sectional anatomy to select and modify technical factors for optimal imaging.
Maintain expert knowledge of sonography techniques and the sonography equipment.
Schedule, report, and file all sonography examinations.
Prepare patients for sonography procedures.
Process and label all examinations.
Attend seminars on technical improvements in sonography and present in‑services to department staff as directed.
Job Requirements Education / Work Experience
High School Diploma or GED required.
Graduation from an accredited diagnostic ultrasound program.
One year of post‑graduate experience in cardiac ultrasound and/or demonstrated high proficiency in diagnostics or ultrasound is preferred.
Licensure / Certifications
Current registration by ARDMS or current certification by Cardiovascular Credentialing International as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).
Current healthcare provider BLS certification.
