What You’ll Do The Sonographer I Acute assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the ultrasound equipment to obtain diagnostic scans in the acute setting. The sonographer is responsible for inpatient, outpatient, the emergency department, and the operating room procedures to include biopsies, drainages, paracentesis, and thoracentesis.
Qualifications Education: 2‑Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT‑approved Radiography or Sonography Program; or CAAHEP‑recognized Sonography Program, required.
Experience: Minimum one year of experience in sonography, preferred.
Licensure/Certification: NH Medical Center‑Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or certified and registered by ARDMS in at least one specialty (RT(S) or ARDMS) within 6 months of hire, required.
