Headache Specialist – MaineHealth Neurology – Scarborough, ME
Full‑time board certified or eligible Neurologist with fellowship training or special interest in Headache to serve as Headache Program Director.
Responsibilities
Provide outpatient patient care for refractory headache patients.
Oversee and teach neurology residents and APPs in evaluation and management of headache disorders.
Participate in on‑site MRI and neurodiagnostic lab oversight.
Engage in research via the MaineHealth Institute for Research, with protected time through a dedicated academic pathway program.
Assist with inpatient neurology consult service during daytime coverage four to five weeks per year.
Provide after‑hours phone call coverage as part of the neurohospitalist team.
Teach neurology residents, fellows from other departments, and medical students.
Qualifications
Board certified or eligible Neurologist.
Fellowship training or demonstrated special interest in Headache.
Experience with outpatient headache management.
Ability to teach and mentor residents and APPs.
