Job Summary and Responsibilities As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will deliver compassionate, high‑quality care that truly impacts our patients' well‑being and recovery. You will provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. You will collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes. To be successful, you will possess keen assessment skills, acute critical thinking, and a patient‑first mindset, driven by a profound enthusiasm to help others.
Assume responsibility for acquiring knowledge and skills necessary for patient care in the identified practice setting.
Perform assessment and analyze patient problems and conditions using critical decisioning to determine need for standard, urgent or emergent interventions.
Implement and/or modify plan of care using assessment data, standards of care and evidence‑based practice inclusive of nursing care coordination, appropriate patient and family education, and discharge planning. Facilitate interdisciplinary partnership in patient care.
Integrate ethical provisions in nursing practice and deliver care in a manner that preserves and protects patient autonomy, dignity and rights.
Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments in compliance with policies and procedures.
Evaluate progress towards attainment of desired patient outcomes.
Job Requirements – Required
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, upon hire.
Registered Nurse: KY, upon hire.
Basic Life Support (CPR), upon hire.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 90 days.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program, within 90 days.
Where You'll Work Welcome to Saint Joseph East, a 217‑bed, full‑service, community hospital located in Lexington, Kentucky. Saint Joseph East also includes the Women’s Hospital at Saint Joseph East dedicated to supporting the well‑being of women in Central and Eastern Kentucky, and serves a 16‑bed Level III NICU. CHI Saint Joseph Health is part of CommonSpirit Health, a non‑profit Catholic health system dedicated to advancing health for all people with approximately 175,000 team members and 25,000 physicians and advanced practice clinicians across 140 hospitals and more than 2,200 care centers serving 24 states.
Pay Range $30.00 – $43.50 per hour.
