The Richmond Behavioral Health Authority is seeking a
Program Supervisor l/l
to join our
Regional Programs Team . The preferred candidate will perform difficult professional and administrative work coordinating, supervising, and monitoring the daily operation of the Region 4 Jail Team and the Jail-Based Restoration Unit (JBRU) at Riverside Regional Jail. The role includes supervising the work of staff within assigned programs, ensuring the quality of program services, coordinating services with other divisions and community partners, collecting and analyzing data, overseeing discharge planning, maintaining records and files, preparing reports, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the general direction of the assigned Regional Programs Manager. Supervision is exercised over subordinate personnel.
Essential Functions
Provide individual/group therapy and competency restoration services for individuals on the JBRU.
Provide forensic coordination and collaborate with courts, attorneys, and other community partners in responding to court orders.
Monitor medication compliance of assigned consumers; coordinate care with jail mental health staff; maintain medical records in accordance with standards.
Record all services in the EHR within the established time frame set by policy and standards.
Provide crisis intervention services to individuals, as necessary and appropriate, and notify jail mental health staff of any emergent mental health crises.
Supervise clinical and consumer monitoring activities of the Region 4 Jail Team; ensure health, safety, and welfare of consumers; plan, organize, direct, and supervise assigned staff; supervise crisis interventions.
Set program priorities; monitor and evaluate service delivery in accordance with established guidelines and principles; develop and enforce program policies and procedures.
Assist with recruitment and selection of Region 4 Jail Team staff; assign, direct, train and inspect the work of staff; discipline, coach, counsel and evaluate staff performance; recommend suspensions and termination; develop staff schedules, monitor and approve leave, prepare and submit timesheets for payroll.
Monitor and audit clinical and medical records and practices for compliance with regulatory, reimbursement and agency standards; review documentation for accuracy.
Consult and coordinate treatment with other service providers and consumer support system. Review, track and analyze reports; prepare and submit reports.
Manage program budgets; review accuracy of program and contract billing; and review service activity logs.
Prepare and distribute correspondence to staff to improve communication and share important announcements, deadlines, changes, etc.
Serve on a variety of committees as directed; attend and participate in a variety of meetings.
Attend professional conferences and trainings as required.
