Overview We are seeking an

Intensive Care RN

for the

Pampa Regional Medical Center

in Pampa, TX. The ICU RN will provide high‑quality care to critically ill patients, monitor vital signs, administer IV fluids, and collaborate with the medical team to modify care plans as needed. This position is on a per diem basis (PD/PRN) with variable shift hours.

Responsibilities

Deliver high‑quality care to critically ill patients by performing detailed assessments, developing care plans, and implementing complex nursing interventions.

Use advanced equipment such as cardiac monitors, pulse oximeters, blood pressure monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, and capnography devices to continuously track vital signs and physiological parameters.

Safely administer medications, intravenous fluids, and blood products with precise dosing and timing, closely monitoring patient responses to ensure effectiveness and prevent adverse reactions.

Manage life‑support devices such as ventilators, dialysis machines, and cardiac monitors.

Provide emotional support and education to patients' families, acting as a liaison to ensure they understand the care being provided.

Document all aspects of patient care to ensure continuity and compliance while rigorously maintaining infection control and safety protocols to protect vulnerable patients.

Qualifications

Current and valid state RN license.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate upon hire and maintenance.

Completion of critical care course preferred.

Basic arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days of hire.

Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificate within 30 days of hire and maintenance.

Minimum of one year as a staff RN in an acute care hospital, critical care preferred.

Critical Care RN (CCRN) certification preferred.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Employment Status & Shift Per Diem (PD/PRN); Variable shift hours.
