Position Summary The
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
delivers short-term, goal-oriented therapy to adults in a primary care setting. The role focuses on improving access to behavioral health support and aligning care plans with medical treatment goals.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 10–12 sessions of structured therapy using evidence-based methods.
Conduct behavioral health screenings and clinical assessments.
Support physicians and care teams through consultation and coordinated planning.
Refer patients to specialty care or community resources as appropriate.
Maintain accurate clinical records and meet all reporting requirements.
Qualifications
Master’s or Doctorate in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology.
California licensure (LCSW or Psychologist) or registration (ASW/AMFT).
Experience with diverse patient populations.
Proficiency in DSM-5 assessment and documentation practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience within an integrated health care environment.
Familiarity with trauma-informed and culturally sensitive care models.
Spanish-speaking ability is advantageous.
