Kimley-Horn's Reno, NV office is seeking a Transporation Planner with 8+ years of experience to join their Transportation and Traffic team! This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
Work with our Multi-Modal Transportation and Traffic team leading and performing a variety of transportation-related task including:
Traffic impact studies
Multi-modal transportation analyses and design
Safety studies
Travel demand modeling
Multimodal corridor concept development
Other various transportation and traffic related tasks
ITS Planning and Design
Signal Design
Project Management
GIS Analysis
Contribute to the growth of this practice by participating in client meetings, client communication/coordination, mentorship of junior-level staff, and task management while working with a variety of individuals
Qualifications
8+ years of directly related experience
American Institute of Certified Planner (AICP) Certification Preferred
Experience preparing traffic impact studies, multi-modal planning studies and improvements, traffic signal and lighting plans, signing and striping plans, and a variety of technical and planning reports
Proficiency in Synchro/SimTraffic, TransCAD, CUBE, AutoCAD, and/or other traffic and engineering software
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to work with and balance priorities among multiple projects and project managers, as well as provide direction to entry-level Transportation Analysts
