Job Summary The Von Allmen School of Accountancy at the University of Kentucky invites applications for multiple tenure‑eligible, Regular Title Series positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. This 9‑month position has a start date of August 2026. The anticipated initial distribution of effort will be 30% teaching, 65% research, and 5% service for an assistant professor, or 30% teaching, 60% research, and 10% service for an associate professor. This distribution will be reviewed annually.

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate and graduate accounting courses (30% of effort).

Conduct high‑level research and publish in leading accounting journals.

Engage in service to the department, college, and university (5–10% of effort).

Qualifications

Ph.D. in Accounting or related field; ABD is acceptable with completion by August 2026.

Demonstrated research productivity and potential for future scholarly contributions.

Excellent teaching record or potential for teaching excellence.

Capability to publish in top accounting journals (TAR, JAR, CAR, AOS, RAST, JAE, or comparable).
