Job Summary and Responsibilities As an Independent Mental Health Therapist, you will provide compassionate and effective psychotherapy and counseling services to clients managing mental health challenges. Every day you will conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, and maintain clinical documentation while managing your caseload.

Independently evaluate and assess the bio‑psycho‑social needs of patients, and treat mental health disorders by conducting therapy sessions using various modalities such as individual, group, family and/or significant other counseling and education to help clients achieve defined treatment goals and provide crisis intervention when needed.

Develop and maintain a positive professional relationship with clients, peers, coworkers, and community members. Maintain open, therapeutic communication with peers, patients, and patients’ families while adhering to strict ethical standards, including confidentiality. Work effectively in a diverse and multicultural environment.

Job Requirements Required

Master’s (or higher) in Counseling, Social Work, Nursing, or a related behavioral health field, upon hire.

Independent Mental Health Practitioner/Counselor or Social Worker credentials (NE).

Preferred

Three years of post‑license experience in a mental health/addiction recovery or related field.

Pay Range $32.85 – $39.07 /hour
