Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool night position requiring a NH or compact RN license and a minimum of two years of Med/Surg experience.
Responsibilities
Work in a hospital setting, floating between the Thompson, Farnum, and Kingsbury units
Care for adult-geriatric patient population
Float between units during shifts, with possible rotations such as 4 hours in Kingsbury and 8 hours in Farnum
12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Every other weekend required and holiday coverage as needed
No on-call requirements
Must be able to float to stepdown unit when required
EPIC EMR is used and experience is required
Responsibilities include coordinating total nursing care, patient and family education, and leadership in collaboration with ancillary staff
Professional scrubs without logos are required as dress code
Block scheduling and schedule accommodation requests are not permitted
Requested time off must be submitted at time of application, with a maximum of 5 days during the assignment
Local candidates residing within 50 miles are not considered
Must be willing and able to float between multiple units within a single shift
Requirements
Active NH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
Minimum of two years' recent Med/Surg experience
Experience with stepdown care, including cardiac drips and other stepdown practices
Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications
Experience with EPIC EMR requiredMust have personal vehicle
ICU RNs will be considered
