Responsibilities Roxbury Treatment Center is currently hiring full-time Intake Counselors to work in our admissions department.

Shifts available - Evening and Overnight are 5 eight-hour shifts per week. Per Diem Staff also needed for all shifts.

The Intake Counselor, under the supervision of the Director of Admissions, interviews and assesses potential patients and inquiry callers.

The Intake Counselor works with the Business Office regarding patient financial data, as well as with the UR Department for the certification of patients admitted.

Also initiates the referral and admission process by determining appropriate level of care needs in conjunction with the physician/provider.

The Intake Counselor is also responsible for initiating and maintaining communication with referral sources.

Qualifications Education:

Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or other related Human Services field required – OR – Registered Nurse.

Experience:

2-3 years in the area of substance abuse/psychiatric treatment programs, including experience in intake/admissions and managed care preferred.

License:

License not required unless candidate is a nurse, then active nursing license in the State of Pennsylvania is required.
