Overview Salary Range: $45.70 - $45.70 Hourly

Position: Short Notice Licensed Practical Nurse
Reports to: Director of Nursing
Location: Convalescent Center: Nespelem, Washington
Basic Functions Short Notice position is an on-call role, applicants must be prepared to report to work within one hour of receiving notification. Provide direct nursing care to residents. Supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the NAC’s. Supervision in accordance with all current federal, state, and tribal standards, guidelines, regulations governing the facility. Provide the highest degree of care to each and every resident.
Qualifications Education and Training
Current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Washington and 12 months of experience in a long term care facility, preferred.
Valid Washington State Driver's License and eligibility for the Tribes' Vehicle Insurance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of nursing, medical practices and procedures, laws, regulations, guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
Responsible for reporting abuse and neglect to State Hotline as a mandated reporter.
Ability to make independent decisions.
Ability to cover extra shifts when able, as the facility operates 24/7.
Ability to read, write, and understand English.
Knowledge of geriatrics and LTC settings and chronic diseases.
Knowledge of and ability to respect resident rights.
Ability to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds to a minimum height of three (3) feet and carry such weight a minimum distance of fifty (50) feet.
Availability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Note:
Pursuant to Tribal Policy, if this position is safety sensitive it is subject to pre-employment drug testing. In addition, this position is subject to reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug testing.
TRIBAL MEMBER AND INDIAN PREFERENCE WILL APPLY; PREFERENCE WILL ALSO BE GIVEN TO HONORABLY DISCHARGED VETERANS WHO ARE MINIMALLY QUALIFIED.
Must possess and maintain a valid Washington State driver’s license and be eligible for Tribes’ Vehicle Insurance. Position may be subject to pre-employment background clearances; clearances must be maintained throughout employment.
