Basic Job Functions This role is part of our Maintenance Department and includes providing technical support for maintenance and operations. Key responsibilities are:
Maintain and improve mill-wide automation, including PLCs, HMIs, Level 2 systems, drives, and industrial robots.
Install, configure, and maintain field devices, instrumentation systems, communication networks, and interfaces.
Develop and document standard operating procedures and conduct training for operation and maintenance teams.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate closely with operations.
Work scheduled and occasional unscheduled overtime as required.
Earn safety leadership by initiating, leading, and upholding safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications
Two year degree in a related field or 3 years of equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of the melting process and related equipment.
Proficiency in PLC, HMI, and drive software.
Strong PLC, HMI, drives, networking, and computer troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of electrical engineering principles.
Experience with industrial robots, controllers, and programming.
