Overview The Licensed Optician at LensCrafters delivers exceptional customer service and expert optical care while promoting the value of our comprehensive eyewear solutions.
Responsibilities
Deliver the complete LensCrafters service model (Connect, Explore, Exceed) to create memorable customer experiences.
Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that fit their vision needs, lifestyle, and budget.
Perform precise measurements, fitting, and adjustments for eyewear to meet optical standards.
Operate POS and the Order Tracker to process sales and manage customer transactions accurately.
Educate customers on LensCrafters warranties, protection plans, and after‑sales care.
Maintain a clean, visually appealing store environment and support store merchandising plans.
Collaborate with colleagues to resolve complex prescription and product issues.
Lead and mentor new associates, promoting optical knowledge and brand values.
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Active state licensure or certification as an optician through a nationally‑recognized association.
Experience in optical dispensing and a solid understanding of vision science and product inventory.
Strong communication skills, customer‑orientation, and proficiency with POS systems and tablets.
Awareness of current fashion trends and sales techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
Ongoing study of LensCrafters’ Quality, Fitting, and Adjusting Program.
Previous retail or customer service experience.
Pay Range $28.66 – $38.27 per hour, plus potential bonuses and commission.
