Position Overview
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Ohio Department of Behavioral Health (DBH).
Responsibilities
Provide medication, education, and empowerment to individuals.
Observe, evaluate, and record patient behavior, condition, and response to medication.
Monitor patient health including vital signs, treatment plan progress, and activity participation.
Serve as a multidisciplinary team member to create a safe and positive environment through safety and observation rounds and group facilitation.
Position Details
Pay range: Level #10 on OCSEA Pay Range Schedule.
Hourly rate: $26.76.
Working hours: 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm.
Work schedule: Full-time.
Location: Northwest Behavioral Healthcare Campus, 930 South Detroit Avenue, Toledo, OH 43614.
Union: OCSEA/AFSCME bargaining unit.
Classification: Classified.
Qualifications
License to practice nursing as a licensed practical nurse issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing pursuant to Section 4723 of the Ohio Revised Code, plus proof of completion of an approved course in medication administration.
Licensed Practical Nurses who administer dialysis treatment must possess certification in IV therapy pursuant to Section 4723.17 of the Ohio Revised Code.
For positions requiring transportation of consumers, a valid driver's license is required.
