Overview
Hytrol Conveyor Company is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I to support production and continuous improvement efforts across operations. This entry-level role provides hands‑on experience in process analysis, tooling design, and manufacturing optimization. The Manufacturing Engineer I works closely with experienced engineers to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency while learning and applying Lean principles in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities
Assist in designing and implementing manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling to improve production efficiency
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop solutions that improve safety, quality, and throughput
Support daily production issues and troubleshoot efficiency or quality concerns
Conduct time studies, process documentation, and workflow analysis
Participate in layout changes and facility improvements
Contribute to Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement events
Create and update standard work instructions and visual aids
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (required)
Internship or co‑op experience in manufacturing preferred
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, and Excel
Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a desire to learn and grow
Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools
