Job Title: Lead Pump Mechanic
Department: Service Department
Location: Baltimore, MD
Key Responsibilities
Respond to field service calls independently; diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of pump systems on day one.
Service, rebuild, install, and maintain centrifugal, split‑case, vertical turbine, submersible, and positive displacement pumps.
Perform detailed troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and operational issues.
Lead field projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to manufacturer specifications.
Mentor, train, and support junior technicians; provide hands‑on guidance, technical direction, and best practices.
Conduct failure analysis and root‑cause investigations to minimize downtime and reduce repeat failures.
Document service work, parts usage, recommendations, and test results in clear and accurate reports.
Interpret drawings, pump curves, alignment specifications, tolerances, and manufacturer technical data.
Communicate professionally with customers; explain findings, recommend corrective actions, and provide repair estimates.
Maintain tools, equipment, and service truck in optimal condition; uphold strong safety and housekeeping standards.
